RiverFlow Newsletter #1 | July 2026 How Does River Restoration Begin? This season, more than 200 kilometres of rivers have already been surveyed and mapped, while water quality monitoring and other field investigations are still underway. In the first issue of the RiverFlow Newsletter, we explain what experts look for when assessing rivers, why reliable data are essential before restoration measures begin, and how the results of these studies help identify effective, evidence-based river restoration solutions. We also introduce the key figures behind the RiverFlow project, present the new project website, and show how you can follow the project's activities across Latvia's rivers.
